Bridgeland, one of the best-selling master planned communities in Texas, garnered four Texas Star Awards including the Grand Award, “Developer of the Year,” presented by the Texas Association of Builders (TAB) at the Gaylord Texas Resort in Grapevine on Thursday, Aug. 4.
Bridgeland was also recognized with “Website of the Year” for www.Bridgeland.com, “Billboard of the Year” and “Print Ad of the Year.” The accolades were part of the TAB’s Star Awards, an annual competition showcasing the outstanding work of developers, builders and other real estate professionals in Texas.
“We are honored by the positive recognition that we have received from the Texas Association of Builders for Bridgeland driven by the high standards that we set for Bridgeland and our efforts to provide the finest products to current and future residents,” said Heath Melton, Vice President of Master Planned Communities, Residential Development for The Woodlands Development Company. “We would like to acknowledge the collaboration of many people who have helped make Bridgeland a success.”
Bridgeland is the largest housing development in northwest Houston who thrives on its balance between nature and mixed-use development. The community has dedicated over 3,000 acres to lakes, trails and parks while also offering on-site schools with a new multi-campus educational village being developed; places of worship including the upcoming Houston’s First Baptist Church campus; the highly-anticipated Lakeland Village Center; social activities; and recreational outlets.
Bridgeland is also designed to preserve, enhance and restore the natural environment with existing lakes and creeks incorporated into the development as unique amenities including the enhancement of Cypress Creek Corridor where 300 species of birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians seek refuge. The area’s natural amenities are combined with a carefully planned system of community parks and activity centers, such as Lakeland Activity Center, where residents enjoy a lap pool, tower slides and a 6,000-square-foot community center.
